Project
This project will enhance the knowledge of young Lebanese from all regions on the ideal profile of candidates participating in the elections of 2022 in order to help them become active citizens, aware of the importance of voting for the right candidates and to be engaged in the change process. It will also raise awareness on the importance of researching and selecting credible sources of information to create their personal opinion regarding the candidates participating in the parliamentary and municipal elections. Madanyat, along with other NGO’s and organizations, aim to increase youth participation in upcoming parliamentary elections for 2022 from 51% to 58%. Youth Vote to Strengthen the electoral knowledge of youth in Lebanon will start on November 1st, 2021 and will end on June 30, 2022, involving the participation of 30 young activists from different regions who have demonstrated either a strong social media presence or an active participation in the demonstrations occurring in the country since October 2019.
