This project aimed to strengthen inclusive and transparent local governance by enhancing the leadership and institutional capacities of elected members and administrative staff within the municipal unions of Dbayeh–Zouk Kharab–Awkar-Haret El Bellaneh and Jdeideh–Bauchrieh–Sed El Bauchrieh. Through targeted capacity-building sessions, the program equipped municipalities with practical tools to promote more participatory, responsive, and accountable decision-making. the project included workshops on inclusive leadership, community engagement, and the legal roles and responsibilities of municipal councils in Lebanon. These sessions helped bridge operational gaps by translating governance principles and legal frameworks into clear, actionable guidance that supported improved service delivery and collaboration within municipal structures.
